Ground Chicken

Every Mom is unique and so are her dishes….

My recipes attributed to my Mom who regarded cooking as an art….. she enjoyed making each dish and made us all enjoy…

Following her trails I try to give my touch…..

Ground Chicken

This is a dish loved in my family and it is something that goes with most breads like Indian Roti, Tortilla, Nan…. be it for an easy sandwich with mayo or any other spicy dip or any rolls for tiffin .

Ingredients

  • Boneless Chicken 500gms
  • Onion 250gms
  • Ginger 3 pieces
  • Garlic 7 cloves
  • Green chilli 10 numbers
  • Oil 1/3 Cup
  • Pepper powder 2 tsp
  • Water 1/2 Cup
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

Mince the Chicken in food processor and in a cooking pot add to the minced chicken, salt and water and cook in low flame keep stirring continuously so that it does not get stuck in block and then cook in low flame for five minutes.

Chop together onion, ginger, garlic and green chilli. In a skillet add oil and when warm add the chopped ingredients. Intermittently stir and when onions turn translucent add chicken and put on high flames till the water is dried. Then add pepper powder and salt to taste and put on very low flame and stir in between and turn off flame at the required level of cooking .

Tips

This ground chicken if dried well can be made to cutlets and also can be stored as frozen and stays long to serve. Also it can be taken for your short stays away from home for some quick breakfast sandwiches or any meal. Try adding chopped coriander leaves or either chopped parsley…… all adds to your menu.
