Tomato Chutney

Tomato chutney with out garlic or cumin

Homemade delicious tomato chutney, a perfect side to Dosa and Idli, also serving as a tasty spread for sandwiches, rolls…… Savor the real taste of fleshy tomatoes without any garlic or cumin.

Ingredients

Fleshy ripe tomato 380 gm,

Red onions 180 gm,

butter 50 gm,

sugar 1/2 Tbsp,

Chilli powder 1 Tbsp,

salt to taste.

Preparation

Sauté the onions and tomatoes for a while in butter in a broad pan, and once semi translucent, add the chilli powder and salt to taste, finally adding in the sugar, set aside to cool. Grind smooth, in a blender without adding water. Refrigerate and use for up to one week. Use it cold itself for spreads, if refrigerating. Enjoy the home made tastes😋
